Braive is an e-learning tool developed by psychologists to help people improve their mental skills and wellbeing. Our range of interactive, easy to use programs teach you the tools to reduce stress, improve your thinking and build healthy habits for life.

iCBT is a short term for Internet based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. For more information, please have a look at About iCBT on our webpage.
Research shows that iCBT often is just as effective as face-to-face therapy (Hedman et al., 2014). The principles and tools used in iCBT are the same as those used in traditional CBT, meaning that the learning and recovery process is very similar in both forms of treatment.
iCBT offers all the same benefits as traditional therapy but is much more cost effective and easy to access (Hedman et al., 2014).
Internet based CBT is ideal for you who niether have the time or possibility to attend a face-to-face therapy on a weekly basis. Our programs can be completed whenever you want at your own pace.
iCBT works best for people who are willing to take responsibility for their own progress and who are able to stay motivated to complete each lesson and exercise every week.
The therapeutic relationship in face-to-face treatment is an important part of traditional therapy. At the same time, the most important aspect of any form of CBT-based treatment program is the fact that the clients actually apply what they learn durig the sessions and continously work on making changes in every day life.
One of the main challenges in our society today is the limited access to any type of treatment. Braive offers an alternative through programs that create the possibility to apply CBT-based tools and get support from other people following the same program.
Braive continuously works with primary and secondary care providers in order to verify and explor various components for our different programs. To date Braive has research projects with primary care “Rask psykisk helsehjelp” and “Frisklivssentralen” in Bydel Gamle Oslo and secondary care “DPS Raskere Tilbake” at Lovisenberg hospital in Oslo.
There is strong evidence in research showing that psychological treatment, especially CBT efficiently can be delivered online to treat a variety of psychological health problems.
A large meta analysis (Andrews et al., 2014) shows that iCBT is an efficient and practical form of treatment for both anxiety and depression. Moreover, iCBT has been shown to be as effective as face-to-face CBT in a large literature review and meta analysis (Andersson et al., 2014) on a variety of symptoms. iCBT was also shown to bring several advantages such as being mmore convenient and appealing for the user.
The mental health check is a short set of questions designed to get an overview of your current mental wellbeing. It is based on globally used and validated standardized psychometric tests that help measure a person’s mental health. An inbuilt algorithm allow us to personalize the questions we ask, to the answers you provide along the way.
The mental health check gives you insight into your own mental health and makes it possible for us to recommend the program that is right for you. If needed, you can also print the complete test results and bring them along to your doctor, psychologist or other health care professional to interpret.
In order to identify which program is best suited for your needs, your first step is to take a Mental Health Check. The test is free of charge.
We have a free Mental Health Check (MHC) which will help you identify your symptoms and challenges. Your answers will generate a recommendation of the program that is the most suitable for you at the moment.
You can choose a username that keeps you anonymous, as long as the email address is valid and you are able to complete the required e-mail confirmation when creating your registration.
The cost for a complete treatment program is 105 EUR. You can make your payment on our website using standard credit- and debit cards.
You can get started as soon as you have completed your payment.
A lesson will not take much time to complete- probably an hour or two at most. However, much of the work of the program happens when you start applying what you have learned in the lessons in your day to day life.
The more time you spend on the homework assignments, the better your chances are for lasting improvement. But the amount and practice required differs from individual to individual.
The main message is: the more you practice a new skill, the better you will get at it. But the time you spend on it is of course up to you.
Our programs are developed with ease of use in mind. Each lesson is structured and worded to make information as easily understandable as possible, regardless of whether you have any prior computer skills or psychological knowledge.
When signing into Braive you are asked whether or not you would like to be a part of our ongoing research and the possibility of helping science develop and improve. The information you provide gives us the opportunity to measure the effect of our programs so that we can continue our research and keep improving our tools.
All information we use in our research goes through an irreversible de-identification process, which means that all names will be substituted for numbers to protect your privacy.

You can add your therapist by clicking on your initials up in the right corner beside your Dashboard. Click on "Settings" and then "Therapist settings". Put your therapist's email address in the window that says “My therapist”. Here you can also choose whether you would like to share your homework with your therapist or not. Lastly, type your current password and then click "Save".
Make sure you have confirmed your e-mail address. This is a necessary step for you to be able to access your profile and sign in the second time.
An e-mail from ‘Braive Team’ ([email protected]) has been sent to the e-mail address you used at the registration. If you can’t find this email in your inbox, please check your junk mail.

To change your account details such as your email address or password, simply log in to your Braive account. Click on your initials on your top right corner and a dropdown menu will appear. From there you can access and edit your account settings via the 'Settings' option. Once you've entered your new email address or password, be sure to click on the 'Save' button at the bottom of the page.
Yes, in fact we would encourage you to do so! Going back and repeating lessons and exercises is all part of the learning process, and will allow you to get the most out of your program. You will find all your lessons on your Dashboard.
If you do struggle to understand a particular exercise or lesson, first try posting a comment under the activity. We aim to respond as soon as possible, but in the meantime another user may have the answer you’re looking for.
Feel free to contact us as we are always aiming to make our programs as user-friendly as possible and would love to hear from you and explore possible ways to improve our explanations and instructions.
After clicking on the name of your program in your ‘Dashboard’ you will find all the activities included in the program by scrolling down. If you cannot enter a specific activity you may not have reached that part of the program yet.
As soon as you have completed an activity you can always go back and repeat it as often as you like. You will find all homework activites that you started on your Dashboard under "My Activites".
It is always better to take your time going through each lesson over the course of several days. That will allow all new information to sink in, and give you time to do your homework activities and practice the tools you've learned during the lesson.
While waiting for the next lesson, you can access all the activities you have done via your dashboard.
Comments are a great way for you to engage with the other users on your program, reach out for assistance or provide much needed support.
Your comments will only be shown to the users that are enrolled in the exact same program as you, in the same language as you. All comments you leave are anonymous, meaning that they cannot in any way be traced back to you as an individual user.

Our programs contains about 6 to 12 lessons. Between each lesson you will need to set aside a couple of days to step by step learn each new technique and practice until you have mastered it.
This will allow you to keep maintaining your wellbeing long after you have completed the program.
You can change the language by clicking on your initials up in the right corner beside your Dashboard. Scroll down and click "Edit". Change to the language you want, type your current password and then click "Save"
The two-factor authentication is there to protect your account even in the event of a username/password theft or interception. You can enable a two-factor authentication for your account in your settings page.

Currently, we only offer access to therapists that we have been able to certify. However please contact us at [email protected] and we can provide you with more information.
When logged-in to your therapist account you can enter your client by adding their e-mail address in the window on top of the page and clicking the blue button “Invite client”.
In your therapist account, you will find a list of your linked clients. They need to approve you as their therapist in order for you to be able to view them. They can aslo chose whether they want you to see their homework and observation models or not. However, you will always have access to the MHC-scores that are linked to their user name.
Click on the eye symbol to the right of their name in order to monitor their progress, see their test scores, activities and observation model entries.
